Skilled at managing through complex operational, organizational and risk management challenges, Ms. Van Donge is regarded as a “full spectrum leader”; one who shapes the future, delivers results, energizes the team, builds strong client relationships and models personal integrity and accountability.
Ms. Van Donge understands the clinical and operating sides of laboratory related business issues with the ability to think “outside the box” when new solutions are required. Her unique blend of analytical strengths, communications skills, technical experience and management abilities equip her to be a strong contributor in a variety of related roles. Currently, Ms. Van Donge is responsible for the strategic direction of Research Trials Group and ensuring compliance and regulatory standards are followed.
Her education includes an MS in Healthcare Administration from St. Thomas University and BS degrees in Medical Technology, Biology and Chemistry from Evangel University/Southwest Missouri State University. She is a Florida licensed Technical Laboratory Supervisor and also holds a US Govt. HHS Laboratory License and is a Diplomate in Laboratory Management (DLM) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
Ms. Van Donge brings over 30 years in the laboratory industry to include Executive and Senior VP for OneBlood, Inc., where she directed multiple teams from Transplant Support and product manufacturing to biospecimen collections and storage. She has also held laboratory leadership positions within TENET Healthcare, Mount Sinai Medical Center and Jackson Health Trust successfully managing clinical laboratory services, quality, regulatory and compliance
BRUCE A. LENES, MD
Medical Director
As Medical Director for Research Trials Group Bruce A. Lenes, MD, provides medical, educational and administrative support, as well as providing medical perspective and vision to the senior management team.
Dr. Lenes has over 36 years of experience in Transfusion Medicine; serving as the Medical Director for the regional blood center in South Florida for 31 years, the Senior Medical Director for Corporate Blood Systems in Scottsdale, Arizona and as the Senior Medical Director for LifeSouth Blood Center in Gainesville, Fl.
Dr. Lenes trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville, in Hematology at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, and in Transfusion Medicine at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md. He was a first-round recipient of the Transfusion Medicine Academic Award (an NHLBI grant to develop educational programs in Transfusion Medicine). Dr. Lenes has published over 40 scientific articles with special emphasis on medical education and diseases transmitted by transfusion. He served on numerous national committees and served as Chairman of the National American Red Cross Medical Affairs Committee, from 1991 to 1994.
Dr. Lenes is also serving as the Medical Director for the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Registry in Boca Raton, Florida. This is one of two licensed bone marrow registries in the United States providing unrelated bone marrow products to patients in need worldwide. His His current academic titles include: Clinical Associate Professor of Pathology and Medicine, University of Miami School of Medicine; Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, Nova Southeastern School of Osteopathic Medicine; Professor of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Florida International University; and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, Florida Atlantic University, School of Medicine.
Dr. Lenes was raised in Yorktown Heights, New York, attended Union University in Schenectady, New York, and Albany Medical College in Albany, New York.
Dr. Lenes and his wife, Barbara, reside in Cooper City, Florida, and have three daughters (all of whom graduated from the University of Florida), and two granddaughters.
